Where do you hangout online?
I'm currently only on dA with my art and occasionally tumblr if it's related to fandom. My computer is slightly old so it isn't able to handle me going to or doing streams. I really wish I could! Not really active on dA chatrooms, but I’m definitely alive on skype! If we become friends, by all means ask me for it!
Do you have any art goals?
Being able to practice daily seems like a good goal to start off with. I also want my drawings to become more coherent whether it’s color, composition or basic anatomy. I was also trying to explore how to design layouts hence my current profile. I guess my big goal is to be invited to draw for an artbook someday? Haha. That goal seems a bit far off but I’ll try hard!
Any art tips?
Aside from practicing like everyone else and their grandmas tell you. I also have this to say… Let yourself go. I find that the more you practice, the more your style stabilizes, but you’re also stuck with a fixed set of solutions to your “art problems”. In time it becomes incredibly stagnant and you’ll feel like you’re going nowhere. Go on a haitus and look at other people’s work. When you come back, try applying different solutions. TED talks also introduced me to something called the “Flow”. Not a new concept by any means, but truly inspiring! www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXIeFJ… Sometimes, you really just need a change of pace. Let me know what you think if you do happen to watch it!
How did you code your profile?
I searched around dA for their coding resources! CypherVisor has great tutorials. Other times I just have to be a little smarter to work around format changes. Lots of hard work and slowly building things up but definitely worth it!
